Canon Raw images (CRW, CR2 and TIF)

In MediaPro 2 you have the option of viewing the preview image embedded within a raw Canon image or rendering the full raw image. Previous versions only displayed the preview image. For speed use the preview and for quality use the raw image. You will find this option in 'Camera Formats' from the pull down menu in the Media tab of the preferences.

By default the option to use the embedded preview is NOT selected. If Canon Raw images take too long to display you should turn ths option on. If the Media view of a image is the preview then the dimensions of the image (shown above the image) will be preceded by an asterix (*).

Previous versions of MediaPro needed the .THM file to be able to extract EXIF data. With Mediapro 2 this data can be extracted directly from the Raw file although more EXIF data is available if the .THM file is available.
