(Mac) Why do images appear correctly orientated in MediaPro but not in other applications?
If you are importing photos using 'Import from Camera' or Apple's Image Capture utility this may be the problem. The 'Image Capture' option in MediaPro uses the same technology as the Image Capture utility. It seems to have a bug and the result is that an image imported in this way could have 2 EXIF orientation tags. This can confuse any application, MediaPro is aware of the problem and may handle the image differently to an application that is not aware of the problem.
If you take Jpeg photos and have a camera that records the images orientation we recommend importing using a card reader or mounting the camera as a volume until Apple fixes this bug.
When I play one Audio or Movie file the whole catalog starts playing. How do I stop it?
This is called playlist mode which is useful for catalogs of playable media (for instance audio files). To turn it off go to the playlist icon, which is on the menu bar after the window menu, and deselect it.
