I would like to display a different thumbnail for a Movie.
The default thumbnail generated for a movie is often not very helpful. It can be blank or have a generic copyright message that does not help identify the cataloged movie. If you select the movie and press space, the movie will begin to play. Press space again when you get to the point in the movie that you would like to appear as the thumbnail. Choose Action -> Rebuild thumbnail (or CMD-B) and this image will replace the current thumbnail.
I'd like to clear the "Open Recent" menu. Is that possible?
There is a folder of aliases called "Recent Catalogs" inside the iView MediaPro Plug-Ins folder. Open this folder and trash all aliases.
Why do my thumbnails look fuzzy, pixelated?
By default, iView MediaPro imports thumbnails that have been embedded into the file by other programs (such Internet Explorer or Photoshop) or devices (digital cameras). This makes iView MediaPro very fast when importing media, but embedded thumbnails may sometimes look blurry or pixelated. To improve the quality of the thumbnail, chose the image(s) and select “Rebuild Thumbnail" from the Action menu.
Another option is to select "Ignore Built-in Thumbnails" in the "Import Option" dialog under the Edit menu. This option tells MediaPro to build its own high-quality thumbnail for each image.
