iView MediaPro: Customized Catalogs & Elegant Image Presentation
By Joe Vaughn, Studio Photography
February 2007
"I have six physical file cabinets overflowing with the last 10 years of my film work. Now that I’m digital and using Apple Xserve and RAID, those files are filling even faster. What’s cool is that I’m on top of it all. With MediaPro, I can see my creative process in front of me, and so can the clients and art directors I work with."
"Whatever photography you’re doing or however long you’ve been doing it, you owe it to your business to invest in the best DAM solution you can get. MediaPro is an excellent value for me because it lets me organize things today, with an eye toward the future."

2007 Hot One Award - Best Asset Management Software
iView MediaPro has been awarded a 2007 Hot One Award from Professional Photographer magazine for winning the Asset Management category!
“The 2007 Hot One Award winners represent an interesting combination of advanced technology and superior usability. Looking over the winning products, we noticed a concerted effort by manufacturers to create high-tech, high-quality items that have the working habits of contemporary professional photographers in mind. Our team of judges chose this year's crop of winners based on quality, usability, innovation and, in many cases, value for price. These judges are all working professional photographers, and their endorsement of these products indicates that the items work not only on the conceptual level, but on the practical level as well. The 2007 Hot One Award winners can be proud to call themselves the best the business has to offer.”
— Jeff Kent, Hot One Editor, Professional Photographer magazine
Additional information on the Hot One Awards and the 2007 winners is available on Professional Photographer's Web site, and in the February edition of Professional Photographer.

Digital Outback Professional Photo Software Shootout:
iView MediaPro vs. Extensis Portfolio
June 2006
At the end of this shootout, our nod goes to iView MediaPro due to three reasons - its support for the latest camera formats that are on the market (and its history of very timely updates that support the newest cameras, although we expect Portfolio to catch up in this area), its support for color management and its better implementation of many of the advanced features, especially its outstanding implementation of cascading metadata support, the lack of which has been the major short shortcoming in Portfolio to us for a while now."
