Uploader Requirements:

  • iView MediPro 3.1+
  • A Digital Railroad account
  • Macintosh: OS X 10.3.9+
  • Windows: Windows® XP (SP2 recommended); .NET Framework 2.0.
Some Windows users will need to download and install the .NET Framework version 2.0. The Uploader installer will tell you if you need to install it.

How the Uploader works:

  1. Select images in an iView MediaPro catalog.

  2. Launch the Digital Railroad Uploader from the iView MediaPro toolbar.

  3. Enter your Digital Railroad account info.

  4. Optional: Convert any non-JPEG or non-TIFF images to JPEG or TIFF.

  5. Optional: Embed metadata (if you haven't already done so in iView MediaPro).

  6. Choose which Digital Railroad group to upload images to (or create a new group).

  7. Upload images.

  8. Quit or go to Digital Railroad in your Web browser.

Benefits of the Uploader:

  • Simple and easy FTP upload tool integrated into iView MediaPro.

  • Enables you to repurpose IPTC metadata from an iView MediaPro catalog to the Digital Railroad archive. Prevents you from the tedious task of entering metadata twice.

  • Digital Railroad supports JPEG and TIFF formats. iView MediaPro can convert other images formats, such as RAW, on the fly so that these files can be uploaded to Digital Railroad.

*Limited time offer: iView MediaPro 3 users save 15% on Digital Railroad membership! (A savings of nearly $200.)
