 New 'Capture Sets' functionality allows users to automatically group bursts of images or bracketed exposures based on time intervals between shots. This feature has been added in the 'Download from Camera' dialog for new photos and as an option in the 'Make' menu for photos already in your catalog.
Sub-folder Watching: Users now have the option within Folder Watching to monitor not only the parent folder for the addition of new files, but all sub-folders as well.
Extended thumbnail and preview support: Thumbnail size is no longer linked to the displayed size; for example you can import 640x640 pixel thumbnails while viewing at 160x160. Optionally you can store full screen preview images in catalogs. Examples of how this might be useful are speeding up the viewing of large images, or distributing a single catalog file as a slide show.
'Show Labeled' and 'Show Rated' menu options have been added to the Find menu, allowing using to search for those media items with no label, or a 3 or more star rating for example.
